The problem with the birthday meal
Long table, two conversations, and whoever is at the far end never speaks to the birthday person. Do something first and the table sorts itself out, because everyone has the same thing to talk about.
Numbers
Each room takes 2-6 players. Larger groups split across rooms and play at the same time, then compare times afterwards. We can take 18 people at once across the venue.
For a birthday, two rooms at the same time beats one big group: you get a result to argue about over the food.
Children’s birthdays
From about eight, with an adult in the room. It is a birthday party where you do not have to run the entertainment, which for most parents is the selling point.
Milestone birthdays
Thirtieths, fortieths and fiftieths work particularly well, because the group is usually mixed and nobody has to be good at anything in particular.
Getting here
On the Promenade between the Tower and North Pier, next door to Papas.
Public parking nearby on and around the Promenade; we do not have a car park of our own.
