The hard part of planning a hen do
The group is rarely all the same age or all close friends. You need one thing in the day that does not depend on drinking, dancing or anyone knowing each other already.
Why it works
An hour of a shared task breaks the ice faster than an introduction round. By the time you leave, people who met that morning are arguing about a padlock, which is the ideal state for the rest of the day.
Numbers and splitting up
Each room takes 2-6 players. Larger groups split across rooms and play at the same time, then compare times afterwards. We can take 18 people at once across the venue.
Two rooms at once, then compare times over lunch, is the format most hen parties end up choosing.
Where it sits in the day
Late morning or early afternoon, before food and before drinks. We are the sober bit, deliberately: anyone noticeably drunk cannot play, which is worth saying to the group in advance.
