Clue HQ hosts various themed rooms full of clues, riddles, locks and puzzles. Each game challenges groups of up to six guests to use team work and initiative to escape within sixty minutes. It’s a real life escape room.

Friends, family, corporate team building events, birthdays, nights out, stag do’s, hen do’s – anyone who would like to experience something different! We recommend a minimum age of 10 as younger guests may find it too difficult. Those aged 16 years and under must have a full paying adult aged 18 years or over as part of the group.

We recommend 4 people, but we can have groups of 2 to 6, or 2 to 7 in Detonation. More people does not necessarily mean a faster escape!

Your game only takes place with your team – you won’t have players you don’t know in your game. We do start multiple games at the same time, therefore other groups may be waiting in the reception areas waiting to start their own game.

At no point is strength required through the game. Some things within the game do require physical movement but nothing strenuous. In some games, you need to be able to walk up and down steps or crawl. Click on ‘health’ on the escape games page for further information.

Yes, in most games! There’s nothing too physical and, at your request, we can put a chair in the room if you’d like to sit down at any point. Also, you’ll be able to leave via the entrance door at any time. Please ensure you check the ‘health’ section on the escape games page which will have more information regarding the physical ability required for each game.

It’s not common for guests to leave due to claustrophobia as the games themselves do have a bit of space to them. You can, however, exit the room (via the entrance door) at any point if you need to. If you are worried please ensure you let our Games Host know before you enter and we’ll ensure you’re comfortable during your visit.

No. Under no circumstances are you to consume any alcohol before playing your game. If you arrive under the influence of any alcohol you will not be admitted or refunded. This is in the judgement of the Clue HQ team and we have the right to refuse admittance.

All bookings are made online, in advance. It’s a live game experience, and therefore we are unable to accept cancellations and have a strict no refund policy. This includes when using gift vouchers from our own or 3rd party sites.

You’ll receive a short briefing when you first arrive which should last around 5 to 10 minutes. The actual game lasts around 60 minutes (depending on how quickly and if you escape). Then the debrief should last around 10 minutes where we’ll take a free group photo.

Please arrive 10 minutes before your game start time. Your Games Host may be occupied with a previous game session should you arrive too early.

Try to give us a call (see here for our contact information), or e-mail as soon as possible to let us know. Even if you’re running late we sometimes allow you to play with a reduced time limit. It is likely your game time will be reduced if you arrive late. Due to bookings after your time slot (and the reset time required) if you are more than 15 minutes late your game will be cancelled and you will not be refunded or rescheduled.

We are located just inside the Somerton Business Park on the left-hand side approximately 200m after turning into the estate. Once you have turned into the estate take the very first left turn after the estate map board and you will see us on the left, opposite Avalon Sciences and next door to Parsigns.

We have a very large forecourt with ample free parking right outside our door.
