We are on the hunt for a Games Host to work flexible hours here at Clue HQ Somerton. Your primary role is to provide the best possible gaming experience for our guests and to maintain our high standards.
Our expectations
As a Games Host at Clue HQ Somerton you will be expected to competently complete the following tasks:
- Enthusiastically greet your guests on their arrival and maintain the same level of enthusiasm throughout your time working at Clue HQ Somerton
- Deliver a stimulating briefing about the game and our rules aimed at building the excitement and anticipation of their game experience
- Monitor the game and assist the guests in accordance with the game rules, reacting professionally to their actions and requests
- Debrief your guests on their experience and provide feedback on their performance where suitable
- Take the guest’s team photo and post to our social media pages if approved or requested by the guests
Additional duties
- Reset the room promptly after the game is complete and your guests have left. This will be done thoroughly using a reset sheet to ensure the room is ready for the next guests to enjoy their experience
- Ensure all kit and props in the rooms are maintained to an operational standard and repair or report any defects requiring attention
- Complete any additional tasks assigned to you by the management team to ensure the fault-free operation of the rooms
- Keep all areas clean and ready to welcome our next guests as required
- Use your own initiative to maximise the guest’s experience
Desirable skills, attributes and abilities
- Be 18 years or over
- Have own transport or a means of transport to ensure availability for any allocated shifts
- Be able to work flexible shifts which would include evenings and weekends
- Maintain good timekeeping at the start and end of any shifts
- Be confident and energetic with large groups of guests
- Be highly organised and comfortable working unsupervised to ensure the reputation of Clue HQ Somerton is maintained to the highest level
- Work as part of a team that at times may be working under pressure during busy periods
- Have a strong pleasant character and willing to converse with guests at all times
- Whilst the role is centred around fun, you should be willing and able to consistently work hard
- Be able to work as part of a team or alone
- Have good basic IT skills. Our games are software-driven and we use a computer-based work shift/rota system
