Easter holidays in Warrington: what to do with the family

Two weeks off, unreliable weather and an egg hunt that lasts eleven minutes.

The Easter problem

The holiday is long enough to need a plan and short enough that nobody makes one. The weather does what it likes, so anything outdoors is a gamble booked more than a day ahead.

An hour that does not depend on the sky

Indoors, warm and the same whatever April is doing. Each room takes 2-7 players. Larger groups split across rooms and play at the same time, then compare times afterwards. We can take 32 people at once across the venue.

Ages

Children from about eight play happily with an adult in the room. Younger than that and they will enjoy the searching but not the puzzles, which is fine if you go in expecting it.

Booking in the holidays

School holiday daytimes fill up, especially the wet ones. Prices are per person and come down as the team grows, from £25 each.

Getting here

The last archway under Warrington Central. Leave the station, turn left under the bridge, then left onto Crown Street. For sat nav use the street address, not the postcode.

Limited on-street parking on Crown Street. Cockhedge Shopping Centre behind us has plenty, and there are two pay and display car parks opposite Central Station.
