Why half term is hard
It is too short to go away and too long to do nothing. Everyone local has the same week off, so the usual places are full of the same families having the same afternoon.
An hour, booked, done
One slot, sixty minutes, no queuing and no wandering around hoping. Each room takes 2-7 players. Larger groups split across rooms and play at the same time, then compare times afterwards. We can take 32 people at once across the venue.
What ages get the most out of it
Eight and up with an adult. Ten and up start solving things on their own. Teenagers are the ideal age for it and the least likely to admit it.
Booking
Half term daytime slots go quickly, particularly the wet days. Prices are per person and come down as the team grows, from £25 each.
Getting here
The last archway under Warrington Central. Leave the station, turn left under the bridge, then left onto Crown Street. For sat nav use the street address, not the postcode.
Limited on-street parking on Crown Street. Cockhedge Shopping Centre behind us has plenty, and there are two pay and display car parks opposite Central Station.
