1. Clue HQ Warrington
We are at 10 Crown Street, in the last archway under Warrington Central station, with the bus interchange across the road. Five escape rooms, more than anywhere else in the north west, sixty minutes each and private to your group.
We would say that, of course. Everything below is what our games hosts actually recommend when people ask what else there is to do.
2. Walton Hall and Gardens
The former Daresbury family home and the town’s best day out: formal gardens, woodland and orchard walks, a children’s zoo and a big accessible playground. Free to get in, pay for parking.
3. The Golden Gates
Cast in Ironbridge in 1862, shown at the International Exhibition in London that year, and standing in front of the town hall ever since. Two minutes from us and the thing everyone photographs.
4. Warrington Museum and Art Gallery
One of the oldest council-run museums in the country and still gloriously Victorian: natural history, Egyptology and local collections in cabinets, all in one building on Museum Street. Free.
5. The Sankey Viaduct
Nine arches carrying the Liverpool and Manchester Railway over the Sankey valley, built by George Stephenson in 1830 and the oldest major railway viaduct anywhere. A short drive west, and free to walk up to.
Before you go
Opening times, prices and menus change, so check with each place before you travel, especially out of season. Our own games are advance booking only, so book your slot first and build the rest of the day around it.
