Build the night around one fixed thing
Christmas nights out fall apart when nothing is booked. Put one thing in the diary with a start time and let everything else move around it. An escape room at six or seven works because it is short, indoors and gives the group a reason to be somewhere at a specific time.
A route that works
Market first for the mulled wine, a game at seven, then food and drinks in the Jewellery Quarter or along Colmore Row afterwards. All of it is walkable, which matters in December.
For groups who never agree
Escape rooms solve the group chat problem: nobody has to be good at it, it is over in an hour, and it works for people who do not drink as well as people who have been at the market since four.
Pre-order your drinks
Our bottle bar sells beers, wines, spirits and soft drinks, and you can order before you arrive and take it into the room with you. It saves the queue and it is a better start to the evening than standing outside a bar in the cold.
